An FAO/ Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) Pacific Islands Regional Consultation on the Development of Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries (SSF) was held in Noumea, New Caledonia, on 12-14 June 2012. The workshop was convened to allow for the sharing of policies and practices in support of small-scale fisheries in the region and thereby to contribute to the small-scale fisheries guidelines (¿SSF Guidelines¿), currently under development by the FAO Secretariat in close collaboration with its partners.
